Who can use this feature?
- All roles with access level "limited" or higher
- Available on all plans
If enabled, the Parent Rollup layout provides a snapshot of subsidiaries (child accounts) and how they are contributing to the business as a whole (parent account). The layout includes 3 modules:
- Current health (child accounts)
- Segment with health focus (child accounts)
- Segment (child accounts)
Unlike other layouts, the Parent Rollup layout is a system layout. You cannot rename, duplicate, or delete this layout.
How to enable this layout (admins)
This layout is automatically added at the account object-level when the following is configured:
- A primary account reference field is set on the account object:
This field defines the parent/child relationship. Only mapped fields are available to use as a primary account reference field. Once set, it cannot be removed. - At least one parent/child relationship exists in your account set (see below)
Denote a parent/child relationship
All accounts have a unique identifier (Account ID). To make an account a subsidiary (child) of another account (parent), enter the Account ID of the parent on child's Parent Account ID.
The parent account must exist in Catalyst in order to assign it as a parent account.
In the example above, In-N-Out Burger is a parent company that owns In-N-Out Burger (Central), (South, and (West).
