Who can use this feature?
- All roles with access level "standard" or higher
- Available on all plans
A fields module allows you to view, search, and update your account, opportunity, or contact fields.
Locked fields cannot be edited from within the module.
Suggested uses
Consider the following use cases to empower your teams.
- Key info: Create a field module to show key information about an account
- Data updates: Display a group of fields that CSMs should update weekly
Add a fields module to a new or existing layout
You can add the fields module to any object-level layout that you own. Admins can add modules to all layouts.
- From the tree menu of an object level layout (account, opportunity, or contact record), click + New Layout to create a new layout from scratch, or click to edit an existing layout > Add Module.
- Enter a name for your new module.
- From the list of module types, click Fields.
A preview of the fields appears on the right. - Click Add Module to add the module to the layout. Resize the module as needed.
- Click Save Changes to save the layout.
Edit pinned fields in a fields module
Layout owners and admins can edit the visible fields within a fields module.
- From the fields module on a layout (not in layout edit mode), hover over the module and click the Abacus icon in the top right corner.
- Clear or select fields as needed that you want to be visible in the module.
- Click Save.
If available, view field descriptions by hovering over the field name within the module. You can also search fields within the module using the search icon.
