An activities module allows you to view the latest activity and updates on an account.
Add an activities module to a new or existing layout
You can add the fields module to any object-level layout that you own. Admins can add modules to all layouts.
- From the tree menu of an object-level layout (account, opportunity, or contact record), click + New Layout to create a new layout from scratch, or click to edit an existing layout > Add Module.
- Enter a name for your new module.
- Choose the types of activities you want to include in the module.
- Optionally choose activities for one or more specific users.
A preview of the module appears on the right and updates in real-time as you make changes. - Click Add Module to add the module to the layout. Resize the module as needed.
- Click Save Changes to save the layout.
Activity types
The following activities are available to capture within the feed, depending on the object type.
Refer to the default Activity view on each account, opportunity, or contact object to filter by activity within the feed.
Task/Subtask activities
- Created
- Deleted
- Completion
- Comment
- Assignee
- Start/due date change
- Title change
- Category change
- Priority change
- Custom field change
- Description change
- Follower added
Note activities
- Published

Fields
- Field value updated
- Health:
- Numeric changes: "Health changed to 4.7"
- Non-numeric changes: "Health changed to neutral"
- Journeys: Whether the stage was changed automatically or manually by a particular user
Playbook emails
- Email created: Activity showing that an email was created from a playbook
- Email approved: Email approved by sender / automatically approved by system
- Email rejected: Email rejected by sender
Salesforce emails
- Salesforce items with the type = Task and subType = Email are the only items that will be able to populate from Salesforce in the Catalyst Activity tab.
