A Slack integration allows anyone in your organization to view completed notes from Catalyst directly from within your company's Slack workspace.
Suggested uses
Once a Slack integration with Catalyst is configured, you can:
- Push notes from designated customer accounts to a specific channel (e.g., notes with customers in a beta program pushed to a #beta-customers channel)
- Push notes notes from an account tier to a specific channel (e.g., SMB accounts to a #SMB Slack channel, or enterprise accounts to an #enterprise channel)
- Push notes with “case study candidate” category tag to a #marketing Slack channel or "feature request" to a #product chanel
Connect your Slack account
You must be logged into a Slack admin profile to authorize a connection with Catalyst.
- In Catalyst, navigate to Settings > Integrations.
- Click + Add next to the Slack integration.
- Click Connect to Slack to authorize the connection.
- Once authorized, click +Add Workflow to begin creating workflows to push completed notes to Slack in either public or private* channels.
To enable a private channel, add the Catalyst app to the channel as a member to each private channel you want to use (e.g., navigate to the private channel in Slack; click the channel members, and then click the Integrations tab).
Add workflows based on the following:- Account names: Push notes based on a specific account or multiple accounts into a designated Slack channel.

Account tiers: Push notes based on an account tier picklist to a specific Slack channel.
- Any picklist fields without values will not be selectable
- Adding new picklist options to a Slack workflow that is already mapped requires creating a new Slack workflow
- Deleting picklist options from a Slack workflow that is already mapped auto-deletes the associated Slack workflow
- Note category: Push notes based on a note category to a specific Slack channel. You cannot combine account and note categories at this time.
