Who can use this feature?
- All roles with access level "high"
- Available on all plans
Optionally bring your account health status from Catalyst into Salesforce. This visibility gives your teams in Salesforce the same insights into customer health as teams in Catalyst. Catalyst syncs health data (one-way) to Salesforce on a nightly basis.
Prerequisites
- A Catalyst health profile configured
- A Catalyst integration with Salesforce
- Available for Salesforce Lightening Experience only
This integration uses the Salesforce Bulk API V2 to handle the bulk update and will not affect the Daily API Requests limit.
1. Create a numeric health field in Salesforce
Your Salesforce admin must first create a field in Salesforce that stores the value from the Catalyst account field: Numeric Health Score
.
- Within Salesforce Lightening Experience, navigate to Setup > Objects and Fields > Object Manager > Account.
- Under Fields & Relationships, click New.
- Select the Number field type.
- Enter the field details:
- Field label: We recommend using a clear label, such as Catalyst Health Score.
- Length: 2
- Decimal places: 1
- Field name: We recommend keeping it consistent with label, such as Catalyst_Health_Score.
- Add this field to existing custom report types that contain this entity: Checked
- Click Next.
- For permissions, the default settings should apply. Catalyst requires "Visible" (not "Read-only" for the integration user (or the user that is connected with Catalyst). You can optionally toggle "Read-only" on for non-integration users.
Regardless of whether the field can be edited by non-admin users in Salesforce, it will not sync back into Catalyst and will be overwritten by Catalyst on a nightly basis.
- Click Next.
- For page layouts, you can select everything; ultimately this is at your discretion.
2. Sync the Catalyst health field to Salesforce
Once the Salesforce field is created, you can map the Catalyst field to Salesforce.
It may require a few hours before the Salesforce field is available to choose from within Catalyst.
- Within Catalyst, navigate to Settings > Health.
- Click the Options (...) button, and then click on Sync Health to Salesforce.
- Choose the new Salesforce health field, and click Save.
- Click Save. Once synced, the field updates once a day.
Due to the nightly syncing interval, it is possible that the Numeric health
score
may display a score that is different in Catalyst than Salesforce until the next nightly sync.
