Create individual opportunity records in Catalyst that will sync to Salesforce. For example, you may be talking to a customer about an expansion opportunity and want to quickly capture the details on the call.
Create an opportunity in Catalyst
Add a new opportunity from anywhere in Catalyst. Once added, a new opportunity record will also be created in Salesforce. In Catalyst, you can view opportunity records in segments and on the object-level views of the related account.
- From the top bar, click the + > Opportunity.

from any screen. - Enter the following details for the opportunity:
- Name: We recommend using a consistent naming convention for opportunities
- Stage
- Account: Start typing to find the account that the opportunity belongs to. (If you start from an account-level view, the account name is already populated.)
- Close date
Admins can configure optional fields on this form using the "Show field on create" check box on a synced opportunity field.
- Click Create.
Once the opportunity shows up in Salesforce, you can edit opportunity information.You will receive an error if you attempt to update the opportunity fields prior to the opportunity record syncing to Salesforce.
