Who can use this feature?
- All roles with access level "standard" or higher
- Available on all plans
Create individual contact records in Catalyst that will sync to Salesforce. For example, you may be introduced to a new stakeholder at a company and want to quickly capture the person's details on the call.
Admins can also sync additional contacts from a data warehouse or upload contacts manually via CSV.
Create a contact in Catalyst
Add a new contact from anywhere in Catalyst. Once added, a new contact record will also be created in Salesforce. In Catalyst, you can view contact records in segments and on the object-level views of the related account.
- From the top bar, click the + > Contact.
Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcut

from any screen. - Enter the following details for the contact:
- Account: Start typing to find the account that the contact belongs to. (If you start from an account-level view, the account name is already populated.)
- First name
- Last name
- Title (optional)
Admins can configure additional optional fields on this form using the "Show field on create" check box on a synced contact field.
- Click Create.
Once the contact shows up in Salesforce, you can edit contact information.You will receive an error if you attempt to update the contact fields prior to the contact record syncing to Salesforce. If the contact already exists in Salesforce, you may receive an error, as a new contact with the same email address as another contact cannot be created.
