Filter segments across objects: Have more control over how you create, view, and export data

Cross-object queries allow you to view data from multiple objects within a single segment. The following cross-object segment enhancements are now available:

  1. Use additional object data across segments
Query data using fields from all Salesforce objects (account, opportunity, contact, and additional objects). Previously, additional objects were not supported.

Additionally, the query builder now groups available fields by object to make them easier to find.

Example: Show me all accounts that have had a conversation (additional object) scheduled within the previous month that contains a particular conversation title

Not all objects support displaying columns across objects. Read more.

  2. Edit values inline and sort cross-object segments
Cross-object data in segments are now editable within the segment columns. You can also sort the column data. Previously, these fields were not editable within the grid view.

Example: Show me all open expansion opportunities. Sort results by # Executive contacts (account field) and edit the Customer Relationship (account  field).

  3. Export cross-object data
Cross-object segments are now shareable across the organization via CSV export. Previously cross-object segments were not available for export to CSV.

Example: Show me all cases (additional object) for accounts where Days at Risk is present; export and share with my support team.

  4. Filter by current user
Choose "Current User" as a value between objects. Previously, you couldn't choose "Current User" as the CSM (account field) when starting from a child object (e.g., opportunity).

Example: Show me all opportunities where current user (myself) is the Customer Success Manager.
