Note and task templates allow you to create a library of notes and tasks for your team to use. Templates include pre-filled field values and contents to make note and task entry faster.

Create a new note template
You can create a new template from a note, from the note template selector (+ > Note > See all templates), or from the Templates page.
- Use the keyboard shortcut

from any screen to start with a note draft, or from another template.If you've never created a note template before, you also can start from the top bar, click the + > Note > See all templates > Created by me > Create. Or, navigate to the Templates page > +New Note Template.
- Enter the details for your template. Your changes are saved as you work.
- When you're ready to save it to the template library, click click the Options menu (three dots) in the bottom left corner > Save as template.
- If starting from a draft, click Create to confirm that the template will not retain any selected accounts, contacts, opportunities, or task due dates.
In the notes template selector, your template is available under the "All" or "Created by me" tabs. Any other user with the ability to create notes can see and use this template.
Create a new task template
You can create a new template from a task, from the task template selector (+ > Task > See all templates), or from the Templates page.

In the task template selector, your template is available under the "All" or "Created by me" tabs. Any other user with the ability to create tasks can see and use this template.
Edit or delete templates
Only admins and the template creator can edit and delete a template.
- Open the template selector, or view all note and task templates from the Templates page.
- Click to open the template.
- Make your edits. Changes to the template are saved as you work.
- Close the template when finished.
The changes are reflected immediately in the template selector and the Templates page. Any new notes or tasks created from this template going forward will reflect the changes.
