Customize picklists items for goal fields

Who can use this feature?

  • All roles with access level "high"
  • Available on all plans

The Goals object includes two non-synced system fields for which you can customize picklist items:

  1. Type: Type of goal (e.g., renewal, expansion, etc.)
  2. Theme: Value pillar or business objective this goal supports (e.g., cost-cutting, productivity, etc.)

Customize picklist items

You cannot modify name or input type, but you can add/edit field description, add/edit items, and re-order items.

  1. From Settings, click Object Configuration.
  2. Click the Goals object.
  3. Click on the Theme or Type goal field that you want to modify.
    • Description: Provide guidance on how this field should be used (e.g., recommended naming conventions or special instructions). Descriptions are available when you hover over the field when editing a note.
    • Values: Provide a label, unique ID, and a preferred color for each picklist item. Optionally move picklist items to change the order.
  4. Click Update.
    The gaol field is automatically added to all goal forms. Custom picklist items are also available within goals segments (filters and columns).
