Who can use this feature?
- All roles with access level "high"
- Available on all plans
Once your data warehouse integration is configured, you can begin mapping "data warehouse" fields from your data source to your Catalyst instance. For each account, opportunity, and contact object, you will map user created fields.
Data warehouse fields are one-directional from your data warehouse to Catalyst; your team can read these fields in Catalyst.
Supported data warehouses
Before you can map data warehouse fields, ensure you have connected your data warehouse with Catalyst and added at least one data source (with proper format) from any of the following:
Map data warehouse fields to new Catalyst fields
User created "data warehouse" fields are new fields you need to create in Catalyst that you want to map with your connected data source. Supported fields types include: Text, numbers, Booleans, and ISO 8601 formatted dates in a comma delimited CSV + timestamp with time zone.
Text input types have a 255 maximum character limit.
- In Catalyst, navigate to Settings > Object Configuration.
- Open one of your objects (e.g., accounts) that is related to a configured data source.
- Click + Add Field.
- Choose Data Warehouse Field, and click Next.
- In the Synced to drop-down, choose one of the data warehouse fields to map.
Available fields are based on the permissions used for the integration user. - If your data source is S3, define the input type. (The input type is automatically identified for other data sources.)
- Optionally adjust the display name as it will appear in Catalyst, and add a description to the field.
- Click Create.
Within the object, you can view the "Synced to" column to view the data path of the field, including data source and field name. Data from your data warehouse will sync every 6 hours. The next sync time is shown on the Data Warehouse settings page.
