Add Catalyst as a trusted app (Gmail)

Who can use this feature?

  • All roles with access level "high"
  • Available on all plans

Catalyst offers email integration with Microsoft or Google. Although adding Catalyst as a trusted app is no longer required for your teams to connect their Gmail accounts with Catalyst, your organization may still require these steps.

Catalyst uses Nylas as a trusted vendor to connect with your Google Services. Nylas is both SOC2 and ISO certified; find more details here: nylas.com/security

Add Catalyst as a trusted app (admins)

Coordinate with your company's Google Workspace admin to perform these steps.

  1. Navigate to https://admin.google.com/ac/owl/list?tab=configuredApps.
  2. Click Add app > OAuth App Name or Client ID.
  3. Search for the Catalyst app using the client_id:
    26784543512-sphgqd093a9qr7sudmj75ue8s7gmvfus.apps.googleusercontent.com

Do not include HTTP in the search.

  4. From the App access options, choose Trusted access (see below for scopes), and then click Configure.

Catalyst Email and Calendar should now appear as a configured app.

AppGoogle scope explanation

While we ask for trusted access, the Catalyst app has a limited scope set. The following scopes are requested when authenticating the Catalyst Google application to connect to Nylas. These are the only scopes available; Nylas, nor Catalyst, has access to services or data outside of these requested scopes.
